Sustainable production processes
We are working to fully align with the European Green Deals´s new growth strategy, which incorporates key targets such as achieving zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and ending the dependence of economic growth on resource use.

Energy Efficiency
In line with our sustainability goals, we attach great importance to energy efficiency and have been consistently improving our performance in this area for many years. Over the past two years, we have achieved an 8% improvement in energy intensity throught efficient equipment investments, energy efficiency projects, process enhancements, and digitalization efforts. Whit a strong awareness of our responsibility toward future generations, we will continue to take steps toward a sustainable future.
Natural Gas
- Adopted new types of burner systems
- Using waste heat from kilns in spray dryers
- Reused compressor waste heat
- Replaced the shrink hoods with natural gas burners to stretch hoods
Electricity
- Transformed our lightning to LEDs and opened roof panels to maximize the use of daylight
- Invested in IE4 motors optimized compressor pressure within the plant and adopted inverters in the kiln and spray dryers
- Changing the mixer system in industrial waste water treatment to electrical motors instead of air blowers
Renewable Energy
Solar Energy
3.5 MWe rooftop solar energy plant will be put into operation in 2023. Also with the new land-based solar energy plant currently being developed, 50% of our total electricity consumption will be met by renewable generation in 2025
Green Hydrogen
We closely follow the latest advancements in new technologies for the purpose of gree transformation and maintain our commitment to providing our customers with more sustainable solutions. In this regard, we have collaborated with an international advisor and a financial institution to conduct a techno-economic analysis on the utilization of green hydrogen in our production processes. We aim to identify the most suitable methods for reducing our environmental impact and carbon footprint.
